I’m Kate and I am a Teacher and Success and Mindset Coach. I motivate and support hard-working women to redefine their success and create their ideal lives.
I’ve been in education for the last 12 years and I have loved being at the forefront of supporting others to learn BUT it’s been a slow realisation that there are HUGE gaps!
What we learn at school:
At school, we focus so much on knowledge, content and skills relating to specific subjects that we forget to focus on some of the most fundamental parts which help us to succeed when we leave school.
* HOW can we improve our self-confidence and believe in our own abilities no matter the task ahead?
* HOW can we learn to pick ourselves up after we experience failure and improve our resilience?
* WHAT are our end goals in life NOT just our career goals? What do we want our legacy to be?
* WHO am I and what can my uniqueness bring to any new venture?
This means that once we do leave school, we’ve got the qualifications (and if we had great teachers, a yearning to want to do more) BUT we are missing a huge chunk of what makes us, us!
Fast track a few years and we get the job, have a family, settle down into adulthood etc BUT we have become stagnant. We start going through the daily motions and we stop dreaming and hoping for new joys in the future.
WHY? Because most of us don’t think WE ARE ENOUGH to wish, dream, hope for more. We don’t have the CONFIDENCE, we are SCARED to FAIL. We’ve been taught that getting a good job is the end game! It’s not!!!
I am a believer in having an education. I believe it gives us choices BUT I don’t think it is the ONLY important thing in life and IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING!
I’m here to tell you to NEVER stop dreaming, wishing, hoping for NEW, EXCITING things for the future, no matter your age!! YOU ARE ENOUGH and you can do whatever you want in life. The only person holding you back is you!
What I believe:
After experiencing anxiety from a young age, I believe that we all have the potential to carve a successful life for ourselves, no matter our past. We are defined by the actions we choose to take in the face of our fears and this gives us the power to unlock who we truly are.
I studied psychology at University as part of my Education BA Hons Degree and I have also been accredited with a diploma in Coaching and Mentoring. For the last 12 years I have been a languages teacher as well as a mentor.
In my personal life, I am a wife and mum of two who keep me on my toes at all times. I geek out about how the mind works and I love learning more. In my spare time, you can find me goofing around with my husband and children or finding new ways to inspire others to dream big.
Finally, I feel I should explain the name The Tustin Girl. Tustin is my maiden name and it is my way of honouring the little girl I once was. She was brave and at the time, I didn’t give her enough credit. I chose the name as a symbol for others; that we all have a past, that we can take strength from our experiences and we can build an even stronger and happier future.

I’d been struggling for a while to find my focus. I was really struggling to know what to do. I was able to talk it through with Kate and she gave me different ways of thinking and I now have a plan. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into building my own business. Kate is very easy to talk to and has some really great ideas and has helped me massively.
The most important thing for me was that she cared…cared about me, about my progress and my well-being. My parents always said to me ‘you can be whatever you want to be, just always be kind’. I spotted this quality in Kate very quickly. She was the first person to take an interest in me…where I was from, how did I meet my other half, what made me happy? And because of this investment in me as a person as well as a client, Kate had the balance exactly right.
